Senior Vice President, International

About the role

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a visionary Senior Vice President, International to lead its global field operations across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe/Middle East, and Latin America & the Caribbean. This senior leadership position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for translating global strategy into measurable impact for families worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to Area Vice Presidents across four regions, ensuring strong performance, governance, and leadership pipelines.
• Align global strategy with regional execution while respecting local contexts and serve as escalation point for complex challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with National Offices, Boards, and key stakeholders to drive consistency in organizational health and impact.
• Lead the International Strategy Advisory Council, bringing field insights to inform enterprise strategy and long‑term global ambitions.
• Collaborate with the COO and cross‑functional teams to align systems with field needs and unlock new opportunities.
• Develop diverse, high‑performing global leadership pipelines and champion inclusive, culturally intelligent leadership.

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in international development or global operations.
• Proven ability to lead across multi‑country, matrixed environments with strong diplomatic and cross‑cultural skills.
• Experience shaping strategy at enterprise and board‑adjacent levels.
• Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive leadership.
• Ability to balance empowerment with accountability across a global network.
