Graduate Tax Consultant – R&D & Innovation Tax

About the role

We are seeking a recent accounting graduate to join our dynamic tax team as a Graduate Tax Consultant specialising in R&D & Innovation Tax. You will work on real client projects from day one, gaining hands‑on experience in preparing R&D Tax Credit claims for HMRC.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior consultants in preparing and submitting R&D Tax Credit claims.
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, building relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative changes and industry developments affecting R&D tax.
• Collaborate with technical consultants to ensure accurate and compliant submissions.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting & Finance (or related discipline), 2:1 or above preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and clear communication skills.
• Ambition to pursue professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA).
• Collaborative approach with confidence to engage clients at all levels.
