About the role
The Head of HR Business Partnering will lead a high‑performing team of HR Business Partners within a large, prestigious organisation based in London. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and deliver people strategies that align with organisational objectives, drive workforce transformation and support long‑term success. This fixed‑term, hybrid role offers the chance to influence senior stakeholders across a complex, multi‑disciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement people strategies that support organisational priorities and long‑term goals.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on complex people matters, organisational change and workforce planning.
- Lead initiatives on attraction, retention, succession planning and talent development.
- Use workforce data and HR analytics to identify trends, inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, embedding inclusive practices throughout the organisation.
- Support large‑scale change programmes and transformation activities.
- Coach, develop and manage a high‑performing HR Business Partnering team.
- Deliver strategic people projects and ensure successful implementation across the business.
- Build strong relationships with multiple stakeholder groups, influencing at senior and executive level.
Required profile
- Significant senior HR business partnering or people leadership experience in a large, complex organisation, preferably in the public sector.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent senior HR experience.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering successful people strategies.
- Experience in workforce planning, succession planning and talent management.
- Demonstrated success in improving employee engagement, retention and organisational performance.
- Experience leading organisational change and transformation initiatives.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level.
