Head of Internal and External Communications

About the role

ASOS is seeking a senior leader to shape and deliver both internal and external corporate communications. You will ensure the company’s messaging aligns with business strategy, mitigates risk, and supports a culture of confidence and authenticity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction for internal and external communications, translating business goals into clear communication priorities.
• Own organisational risk for high‑visibility communications, leading crisis response and safeguarding reputation.
• Design and continuously improve communication systems, roles, and processes to enable consistent, scalable outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions and shaping the corporate narrative.
• Lead, develop, and inspire the communications team, fostering high performance, accountability, and autonomy.

Required profile

• Proven strategic judgement and ability to prioritise competing objectives.
• Experience managing high‑risk, sensitive communications and crisis situations.
• Strong influence skills with senior stakeholders and ability to craft compelling corporate stories.
• Demonstrated leadership in building and developing high‑performing teams.
