Head of UK Transfer Agency

About the role

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to head the UK Transfer Agency function for a global financial institution. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee a rapidly growing team of up to 100 professionals, ensuring end‑to‑end service delivery across dealing, investor servicing, record‑keeping, settlements and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UK Transfer Agency operations, guaranteeing accurate and timely processing across all functional areas.
• Own the operating model, risk framework, operational resilience and audit/regulatory readiness.
• Manage senior client, distributor and fund governance interactions, handling escalations and monitoring service performance against SLAs.
• Define long‑term strategy, drive data‑quality improvements and champion technology change initiatives.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing management team while overseeing budgeting, financial planning and workforce strategy.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in financial services or asset servicing with a focus on service delivery.
• 3‑5+ years of proven managerial experience leading large operational teams.
• Deep expertise in Transfer Agency operations, including dealing, investor servicing, settlements and UK regulatory governance.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory oversight and risk frameworks, including SMCR compliance.
