Health and Safety Administrator – SHEQ Team

About the role

McDermotts is seeking an organised Health and Safety Administrator to support SHEQ compliance, audits, document control, reporting and safety culture within a busy construction environment. You will work closely with the SHEQ team to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory adherence on high‑profile infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate management system records, certifications, document control and record retention.
• Assist with internal processes to meet legal, quality, environmental, health and safety standards, including CDM Regulations.
• Support inspections, internal audits, reporting, action tracking, investigations and improvement projects.
• Manage subcontractor approvals, approved lists, orders and supply‑chain compliance.
• Produce monthly compliance, supply‑chain and training reports.
• Help prepare client PQQs, tender information and maintain client portals.
• Support toolbox talks, guidance documents, visual safety posters and updates.
• Work with SHEQ Advisors to maintain risk assessments, method statements, COSHH records and legal registers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in SHEQ, HSE or health and safety administration.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations, COSHH assessments and risk documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to liaise with internal departments, site teams and clients.
