Healthcare Assistant – Secure Mental Health Services

About the role

Join an inclusive, supportive team at Chadwick Lodge, providing specialist treatment programmes for service users detained under the Mental Health Act with a history of offending behaviour. As a Healthcare Assistant you will play a vital part in helping individuals progress along their recovery pathway toward a valued and fulfilled life.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Analyse behaviours, adapt care plans and provide day‑to‑day support.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update care documentation.
• Assist with personal hygiene and overall wellbeing of service users.
• Contribute to evidence‑based therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing re‑offending risk.

Required profile

• Experienced Healthcare Assistant with a caring, compassionate nature.
• Positive attitude, resilience and vigilance in a challenging environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow clinical guidelines.
