Hospital Receptionist – Private Hospital

About the role

Spire Bushey Hospital is seeking a Hospital Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will work on the front desk, providing a warm, professional and caring experience while supporting patient bookings and admissions.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients, consultants and visitors and manage front‑desk enquiries.
• Book and coordinate appointments using the hospital’s internal system (SAP).
• Handle telephone and email enquiries from patients, consultants and insurers.
• Support patient admissions and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Liaise with clinical teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and keep accurate records at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience in administration, reception or customer service.
• Confident communication skills with a professional approach.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently in a busy environment.
• Willingness to work shift patterns including late and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar internal booking system).
