Housekeeper for Early Years Nursery

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our vibrant early years setting in West London. Working Monday to Friday, 8am‑5pm, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and tidying to keep the nursery spotless at all times.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the setting.
• Support a safe, nurturing atmosphere that promotes children’s learning and development.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to meet individual children’s needs.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including HSE and COSHH guidelines.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child‑care regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Familiarity with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) procedures.
• Awareness of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
