Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our 73 residents while supporting laundry services.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, labeling and returning clothing correctly.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team and support weekend shifts on an alternating basis.

Required profile

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial; previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

• Hourly rate of £12.71 for a 36‑hour week.
• Paid DBS check, pension scheme and uniform provided.
