About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in North Cambridgeshire to recruit a dedicated Humanities Teacher from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term role will initially run until December 2026, with the possibility of a permanent contract from January 2027 for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography and Religious Studies for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support attainment targets.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues to contribute to whole‑school improvement.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience teaching Humanities subjects in a secondary setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Religious Studies or a combination thereof.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
