Indirect Tax Manager – Bangkok (Relocation support)

About the role

Agoda is looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join its Bangkok office. You will be part of a fast‑growing tax advisory team, working closely with product, commercial and legal functions to ensure compliance with VAT, sales tax, GST and other indirect taxes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess Agoda’s indirect tax position and interpret tax implications of new products, programs and partnerships.
• Lead end‑to‑end tax projects, from scoping and budgeting to execution and implementation.
• Manage global tax advisory matters, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including senior leadership, finance, IT and legal—to provide tax guidance and support.
• Maintain relationships with external tax advisors and oversee their deliverables.
• Identify emerging tax risks and opportunities, proposing proactive solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect tax (VAT, GST, sales tax) advisory and compliance.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations in multiple countries, especially in digital services.
• Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
