Intercompany Supply Chain Buyer Planner

About the role

Join Bio-Techne as an Intercompany Supply Chain Buyer Planner and help source stock from internal brands while maintaining European inventory for a diverse customer base. You will work within a small, focused team to optimise inventory levels, shorten lead times and minimise back‑orders across global manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, preparing statements of work and RFQs.
• Conduct supplier site visits, assess capability, quality, delivery and other business criteria.
• Negotiate price, delivery, quality and service terms, and issue purchase orders that reflect agreed conditions.
• Maintain accurate lead‑time data and manage import/export documentation where required.
• Monitor supplier performance, implement corrective actions, and resolve quality or delivery discrepancies.
• Handle claims, rejections, over‑shipments, cancellations and engineering changes with suppliers.
• Prepare complex reports and analyses on procurement trends and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or supply‑chain sourcing, preferably in a technical or scientific environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate supplier proposals and performance data.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal manufacturing, quality and logistics teams.
