Interim Finance Manager – 2‑3 Month Contract

About the role

Robert Half is recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for a small charity in Gloucester. This short‑term assignment (2‑3 months) offers 25‑30 hours per week and an immediate start, providing vital continuity during a period of transition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including supplier payments, invoicing and financial administration.
• Prepare management accounts and process journals.
• Conduct financial analysis and support reporting requirements.
• Collate payroll information and liaise with the outsourced payroll provider.
• Assist with year‑end processes, including audit preparation.
• Maintain continuity and support the finance function throughout the transition period.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent senior finance role.
• Comfortable working hands‑on with responsibility for the full finance function.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Experience in the charity or not‑for‑profit sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Available to start at short notice.
