Investment Analyst – Private Credit

About the role

Join 17Capital’s Investment team in London as an Investment Analyst, supporting both preferred equity and credit strategies across US and European transactions. You will work under senior investment professionals, contributing to the full investment lifecycle from sourcing to monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and analyse investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and build performance projections and cash‑flow models.
• Assist in structuring, pricing, and underwriting transactions, and prepare investment memos for the investment committee.
• Monitor existing portfolio investments, coordinate with investee managers, and produce quarterly investment reviews.
• Support deal origination and marketing by preparing sourcing materials, building relationships with target companies, and tracking origination performance.
• Participate in strategic sessions, company off‑sites, and travel internationally as required for deal execution.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, private‑equity secondaries, or equivalent.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and present to small groups.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
