Junior Quant – Algo Analytics

About the role

Man Group is seeking a Junior Quant to join its Execution Analytics team. You will generate execution insights for portfolio managers, traders and senior stakeholders while researching and prototyping new analytics tools to optimise trading dynamics and maximise realised P&L.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage the Execution Analytics platform to provide insights that reduce market impact and improve capacity.
• Research, prototype and enhance analytics and tools for the Quant Toolkit.
• Model transaction costs, market impact and order fill rates using advanced statistical and machine‑learning techniques.
• Analyse large tick‑data sets to build mathematical models of micro‑structure patterns and intraday predictive signals.
• Drive automation, scalability and standardisation of analytics across experimentation and performance measurement.
• Partner with technologists to deploy and maintain robust analytics solutions.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on execution data for internal and client‑facing teams.

Required profile

• PhD or exceptional MSc in a quantitative discipline.
• 6‑12 months post‑graduate work experience, preferably on the buy‑side or sell‑side.
• Creative thinker with strong analytical and end‑to‑end delivery skills.
• Solid understanding of statistics and its application to real‑world problems.
