Junior Simulation Engineer (Discrete Event Simulation)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Simulation Engineer to join our remote‑first team. You will work on discrete‑event simulation projects for customers across manufacturing, logistics and other industrial sectors, helping them solve operational challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for discrete‑event simulation.
• Scope and plan simulation projects based on customer requirements.
• Develop, test and deliver simulation models.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and training to customers.
• Provide ongoing technical support and respond to customer queries.
• Occasionally visit customer sites and our Manchester office.

Required profile

• A degree in mathematics or another numerate discipline (new graduates welcome).
• Strong interest in maths, statistics and problem solving.
• Basic coding or computational thinking experience.
• Interest or experience in manufacturing and logistics.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and pay attention to detail.
