About the role
This is a one‑year fixed‑term position covering maternity leave for a KS1 class in Greenwich, London. You will join a diverse, welcoming primary school that values belonging, respect, compassion, collaboration and ambition. Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Carry out all professional duties of a teacher, including assessment and reporting.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Report progress and attainment to parents regularly.
- Support initiatives set by senior leadership and staff.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching KS1 or KS2, or in a comparable primary role.
- Strong subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to KS1.
- Enhanced DBS certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required beyond standard teaching competencies.
