Laboratory Technician – 4 on 4 off shift

About the role

ALS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Trowbridge site, working a 4‑days‑on, 4‑days‑off shift pattern. You will analyse a wide range of finished food products and ingredients using various analytical methods while supporting the sample receipt team during weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analyses according to documented methodologies.
• Follow all processes and procedures to maximise efficiency.
• Conduct daily quality control checks and equipment calibrations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation.
• Adhere to site Quality Management, health and safety procedures, and record keeping requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to read, understand and implement instructions accurately.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail and strong time‑management abilities.
• Methodical approach to work.

Required skills

• Analytical techniques for food testing.
