Labourer & Driver – Trenching & Shoring Division

About the role

Join GAP Group’s high‑performing Trenching & Shoring Division as a Labourer/Driver. You will help keep the depot running safely and efficiently while supporting the delivery of hire equipment to construction, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, tidy and hazard‑free workshop and yard.
• Clean and store equipment orderly, and perform quality checks before hire.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites safely and on time, completing all necessary checks and paperwork.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably in a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy setting.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Valid driving licence; CSCS card and/or forklift licence are advantageous.
