About the role

This is a senior technical position within the Digital, Data & Technology directorate, working with the latest Microsoft technologies. You will join a collaborative hybrid team that values continuous learning and personal development.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver accessible, cloud‑hosted websites using modern design patterns.
  • Lead the development of mission‑critical applications using event‑driven architectures and Domain Driven Design.
  • Modernise legacy systems by refactoring them into micro‑service architectures on Azure App Services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create robust, scalable, cloud‑first solutions.
  • Improve development methodologies, processes and standards across the team.

Required profile

  • Senior‑level developer with a strong track record of delivering complex applications.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban or XP).
  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

  • C# and the .NET framework
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • Event‑Driven Architecture
  • Domain Driven Design
  • Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour‑Driven Development (BDD)
  • ReqnRoll and Playwright for web UI testing
  • Sitecore or Umbraco (CMS)
  • Azure Functions, Logic Apps and App Services
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • NServiceBus or Azure Service Bus
  • Design and implementation of secure APIs
