Learning Support Assistant – 4 days/week, Finchley

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming 1‑form entry Jewish faith primary school in Finchley, Barnet. The role starts in September 2026 and runs four days a week, supporting pupils from EYFS to KS2.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Assist class teachers with learning activities and classroom management.
- Help pupils access the curriculum and promote independence.
- Encourage positive engagement, wellbeing and inclusive participation.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) pupils.
- Relevant child‑focused qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Childcare, Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable.
- Experience across primary age ranges (EYFS‑KS2).
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a faith‑based school environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques.
- Understanding of EYFS and KS2 curriculum requirements.
