Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time (Gloucestershire)

About the role
Are you passionate about helping students with additional needs build confidence, independence and real progress? You will provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs and disabilities, working alongside teaching staff to help every learner engage with their studies and reach their individual goals. You'll bring patience, encouragement and a genuine commitment to inclusive education. Working with learners at lower and entry level, you'll adapt your approach to suit different needs, creating a supportive environment where students feel able to develop and thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting students with SEND, specifically at lower and entry level, in their day‑to‑day learning.
- Working closely with teaching staff to help learners engage with lessons and activities.
- Encouraging students to build confidence, independence and practical skills.
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
Required profile
- Essential: GCSE English and Maths.
- Experience of teaching or supporting students with SEND, specifically at lower and entry level.
