Learning Support Assistant – Year 2 (Temporary, Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with a Year 2 class in an Ofsted "Good" primary school in West London. The role is full‑time during term time and runs until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to Year 2 pupils.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Support pupils with special educational needs, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other staff to promote a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of LSA experience in a UK primary school.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Enhanced DBS check with online update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
