Lecturer in Automotive Engineering (Further Education)

About the role
University College Birmingham is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Automotive Engineering to join its Further Education Engineering department. You will deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 1‑3 programmes, using industry‑standard workshops and modern diagnostic equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and deliver engaging automotive engineering lessons.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain and utilise workshop facilities and diagnostic tools.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching automotive or motor‑vehicle engineering in Further Education.
- Relevant qualification in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Technology or a closely related field.
- Teaching qualification desirable.
- Experience delivering vocational programmes.
Required skills
- Automotive engineering knowledge.
- Motor vehicle technology expertise.
- Operation of modern diagnostic equipment.
