Lecturer in Psychology – University Teaching Role

About the role
University College Birmingham is seeking two innovative, student‑centred Lecturers to join its growing Department of Psychology. You will help shape curriculum and deliver high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deliver and assess lectures, seminars and practical sessions.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students throughout their studies.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of programmes.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and professional development.
- Maintain compliance with BPS accreditation standards and university policies.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience teaching Psychology in higher education.
- Understanding of professional body standards for BPS‑accredited degrees.
- Passion for applying psychological theory to real‑world contexts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an academic department.
Required skills
- Knowledge of BPS accreditation requirements.
- Familiarity with contemporary developments in applied psychology.
