About the role
BMet is seeking a passionate Lecturer of English to join the team at Matthew Boulton College. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality English education to a diverse student body and supporting their journey into the world of work.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons across a range of levels.
- Develop and continuously improve curriculum materials and teaching resources.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, quality assurance processes and college initiatives.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Relevant degree in English, Literature or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification or equivalent experience in further education.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English to post‑16 learners.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion and the college’s values.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
