Legal Counsel – eCommerce Product (London)

About the role

Join TikTok’s Global eCommerce Legal Business Partner team as a Legal Counsel focused on product features, data governance, and privacy compliance. Based in London, you will support the company’s expanding presence across the UK and EU, ensuring compliance with the DSA, DMA, GDPR and related national laws.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal point of contact for EU and UK business units, collaborating with product, engineering and business teams.
• Work cross‑functionally with regulatory, privacy, IP and competition teams to deliver unified legal advice.
• Provide clear, actionable guidance that balances risk management with rapid business growth.
• Lead legal reviews of product features, algorithms and data usage under EU and national legislation.
• Partner with public policy teams to identify and mitigate legal risks for high‑impact projects.
• Maintain and update online terms and conditions in local languages across EU markets.
• Improve legal processes, templates and internal training programs to boost efficiency.

Required profile

• Mid‑level lawyer qualified in France, Italy, Poland or Spain.
• Strong experience with EU legislation and national laws, especially in consumer protection, privacy, antitrust or IP.
• Proven drafting and negotiation experience in retail, digital content or advertising agreements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
