Lettings Manager – South Norwood (London)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established independent estate agency in South East London, is seeking an ambitious Lettings Manager to lead and grow their busy lettings department. This senior position offers genuine autonomy and the chance to shape the future success of a respected local agency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the lettings team to exceed targets.
• Drive new landlord instructions and expand the managed portfolio.
• Conduct market appraisals and secure new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors and applicants.
• Monitor departmental performance, report on KPIs and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Support negotiators in progressing deals and overcoming challenges.
• Collaborate with the Property Management team for a seamless client experience.
• Ensure compliance with lettings legislation and company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to increase market share and revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Lettings Manager, Assistant Lettings Manager or Senior Lettings Negotiator.
• Strong track record of winning instructions and generating new business.
• Excellent knowledge of the residential lettings market.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.

• In‑depth understanding of residential lettings legislation and best practice.
• Ability to analyse market data and drive portfolio growth.
• Proficiency in managing team performance and KPIs.
