Light Ends Operator – Trading Desk

About the role

We are looking for a Light Ends Operator to support our gasoline trading desk. The role involves providing real‑time cargo information, operating chartered and non‑chartered vessels, and ensuring accurate reporting of profit and loss.

Key responsibilities

• Provide live status of cargoes, estimated Bill of Lading dates and quantities for accurate P&L reporting.
• Operate chartered and non‑chartered gasoline barges and vessels; support Naphtha and LPG desks as needed.
• Vetting vessels, sending nominations and documentary instructions in line with GTCs.
• Maintain the ETRM system, submit inspection nominations via Navarik, and insure cargoes through the online portal.
• Monitor vessel movements, detect quantity loss or quality off‑spec, and assist Cargo Control with claims.
• Ensure compliance with REACH, VAT, Customs and HSE policies.
• Support back‑office activities such as invoicing, quality/quantity claims and demurrage handling.
• Perform any additional duties directed by Gasoline Traders, Blenders and Operations Management.

Required profile

• Degree qualified, preferably in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or Logistics.
• Relevant experience in energy or petroleum trading operations.
• Strong understanding of cargo handling, vessel nomination and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ETRM systems.
• Experience using Navarik for inspection nominations.
• Knowledge of REACH, VAT and Customs regulations.
• Familiarity with vessel vetting and documentary instructions.
