Long-Term Supply Teacher – Primary Schools (Key Stage 1/2)

About the role
Hays Education is partnering with well‑established primary schools across Birmingham and Sandwell to recruit supply teachers for long‑term assignments. These roles start in September and cover maternity leave, job‑share arrangements and other temporary needs, offering stability throughout the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons for Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 classes.
- Manage classroom behaviour using a consistent, professional approach.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral duties and extra‑curricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and assessment data.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent experience teaching in EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
- Confident behaviour management and a solid understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons for a range of abilities.
- Strong communication, organisational skills and reliability.
Required skills
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Behaviour management techniques.
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks.
