Maintenance Planner – Network Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to support the delivery of Network Maintenance activities for Northern Gas Networks. You will build and manage planning schedules that keep the gas network operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage planning schedules across electrical & instrumentation, mechanical and pipeline activities.
• Work with the Site Manager to allocate manpower, materials, equipment and other resources.
• Ensure maintenance work is planned safely, cost‑effectively and in line with company standards.
• Monitor real‑time progress, manage work orders and resolve issues to maintain productivity.
• Manage System Control/Dispatch faults according to SLAs and produce MI reports for stakeholder meetings.
• Raise accurate work orders, maintain data integrity and apply maintenance strategies.
• Support procurement activities, arrange site access and coordinate non‑working time events such as training.
• Approve time‑off requests and manage standby rotas.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation.
• Experience using SAP S/4HANA.
• Previous use of the MRS Scheduling Tool.
• Understanding of capital project planning and its integration with operational maintenance.
• Clear awareness of cost and performance impact of planning decisions.

• Salary starting at £33,020 per year plus up to 5% bonus.
