Management Accountant – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join a dynamic finance team in Addlestone. The role offers the chance to influence financial performance, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to process improvements during a period of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and insightful monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
• Manage month‑end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce financial reporting and commentary to enable informed business decisions.
• Support statutory reporting requirements such as year‑end accounts, VAT, corporation tax and other regulatory submissions.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and professional advisors.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful commentary on key business drivers.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
• Support improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting capabilities.
• Maintain key data sources that support commercial reporting and business intelligence.
• Provide guidance to junior finance team members where required.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or finalist with strong relevant experience.
• Previous experience preparing management accounts in a fast‑paced finance environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and handling complex datasets.
• Commercially curious with the ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights.
• Comfortable managing deadlines, prioritising workload and delivering accurate reporting under pressure.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement is advantageous.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query or other reporting tools is beneficial.
