Marketplace Trading Manager

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious direct‑to‑consumer brand to hire a Marketplace Trading Manager who will own the Amazon channel – one of the business’s most commercially significant sales platforms. This hybrid role (four days onsite, one day remote) offers the chance to shape strategy, drive profitability and influence growth as the brand expands its marketplace presence.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of commercial performance on Amazon, meeting ambitious sales and margin targets.
• Monitor and maintain Amazon account health, ensuring all operational KPIs align with platform standards.
• Collaborate with the external Amazon team, set expectations, review performance and hold them accountable.
• Develop and execute a trading plan that aligns promotional activity with broader business objectives.
• Analyse sales, margin and customer behaviour data to identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Manage pricing, promotions and product availability to maximise revenue and profit.
• Oversee product listings, catalogue management and marketplace merchandising for accuracy and commercial effectiveness.
• Produce regular trading reports with actionable insights for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing an Amazon marketplace or similar e‑commerce channel.
• Strong commercial acumen with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Ability to treat the marketplace as a standalone business unit and drive sustainable growth.
• Excellent communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central.
• Competence in analysing trading data and customer insights.
• Knowledge of pricing, promotion and inventory management best practices.
