Mechanical Engineering Expert – AI Content Specialist

About the role

We are seeking experienced mechanical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models. In this remote freelance position you will create and validate complex engineering problems that guide AI reasoning across domains such as fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑domain mechanical engineering challenges, including FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, and material science scenarios.
• Develop detailed, step‑by‑step ground‑truth solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning.
• Audit AI‑generated technical outputs—CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, material specifications—and assess compliance with standards like ASME and ISO.
• Identify logical errors in AI reasoning (e.g., force distribution mistakes, energy conservation violations) and provide structured feedback for model improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (in progress or completed) or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong expertise in at least one core domain: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, mechatronics, or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting complex technical concepts.
• Highly detail‑oriented with a focus on mathematical accuracy and physical constraints.
