Medical Advisor – 6‑month contract in Uxbridge

About the role

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Medical Advisor to join their Uxbridge team on a six‑month temporary basis. You will provide scientific and clinical leadership across designated therapy areas, ensuring that robust science underpins decision‑making throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the medical authority for assigned therapy areas, delivering high‑quality scientific input internally and externally.
• Co‑create and execute UK medical and research strategies together with brand, field medical and cross‑functional teams.
• Provide medical leadership for early‑stage assets, shaping evidence generation, value propositions and launch readiness.
• Lead medical input into HTA submissions in collaboration with HEOR colleagues.
• Support decision‑making for late‑stage and non‑promoted assets, including portfolio reviews and lifecycle decisions.
• Ensure all activities meet the highest ethical and compliance standards, acting as a medical signatory where required.

Required profile

• A qualified medical doctor or pharmacist.
• Medical Affairs experience across early, mid and late‑stage products.
• Involvement in product strategy and, ideally, launch activities.
• Solid understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and the ABPI Code of Practice.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally within a highly matrixed organisation.
