Mixed Tax Manager (Personal & Corporate Tax)

About the role

McGinnis Loy Associates is seeking a Mixed Tax Manager to lead personal and corporate tax services for its central London office. The role involves managing junior staff, delivering tax strategies, and supporting business development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop corporate tax‑efficient strategies and support personal tax interests.
• Advise clients on complex UK and international corporate tax matters.
• Handle corporate tax planning, cross‑border structuring and deal tax structuring.
• Liaise with the Head of Tax on individual projects such as dividend planning, EIS, CGT, non‑domicile, VCT and IHT.
• Oversee a team of junior/graduate tax staff and ensure work meets cost and timescale targets.
• Collaborate with Tax Partners to grow advisory services and generate new business.
• Engage with referrers and external parties for business development.
• Present tax issues and solutions to clients in clear, non‑technical language.

Required profile

• Experience in a recognised Regional or Top‑100 practice, preferably CTA and/or ATT qualified.
• Strong knowledge of both corporate and personal tax issues and portfolio management.
• Excellent team‑working and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proven capability to develop new business and work under pressure while meeting deadlines and budgets.
