About the role

Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division, delivering planned repair and servicing directly to members at their homes or workplaces. The role offers a structured schedule, no emergency callouts, and a fully equipped van with all tools you need.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on member vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Complete vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, or 5 + years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
