Monitoring Engineer

About the role

Randstad Construction & Property is looking for a confident, technically‑adept Monitoring Engineer to support its operations and project management teams. You will act as the primary contact for clients and the public, overseeing the full lifecycle of geotechnical and structural monitoring systems from procurement to data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supply, asset tracking, installation and commissioning of specialised monitoring instrumentation.
• Collect, interpret and visualise structural and geotechnical data using specialised software (gtcvisual).
• Maintain rigorous data management, including recording, filing and archiving of all project data.
• Produce project documentation such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Activity Briefings and Commissioning Installation Reports.
• Supervise specialist subcontractors, coordinate with site supervisors, clients and public stakeholders.
• Present technical findings at data review meetings and support site operatives to maximise productivity.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS Card and CPCS Appointed Person card.
• Strong foundation in geotechnical engineering concepts and site best practices.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced computer literacy with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using the gtcvisual data visualisation platform.
