Mortgage Consultant – Hybrid (Chelmsford)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Consultant to join a well‑established independent mortgage and protection firm operating on a hybrid basis across Chelmsford, Brentwood and home‑working. The role offers a flexible schedule, a supportive administration team and a substantial client pipeline to help you achieve strong earnings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide whole‑of‑market mortgage and protection advice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage mortgage and protection cases from enquiry through to completion.
• Develop relationships with estate‑agency introducers and attend their offices regularly.
• Generate business from company leads, referrals and networking opportunities.
• Identify protection opportunities alongside mortgage advice.
• Deliver an exceptional customer journey throughout the advice process.
• Work closely with the administration team to ensure a smooth client experience.
• Maintain FCA compliance and company standards.
• Participate in regular training and development.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Mortgage Adviser status.
• Minimum two years' experience providing regulated mortgage advice.
• Experience advising on mortgages and protection.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to attend estate‑agency introducer offices as required.
