About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Music and Drama Teacher to join a secondary school in NW3, London, from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging music and drama lessons to students aged 11‑16, contributing to the school’s vibrant performing arts programme.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess music and drama curriculum across key stages.
- Organise rehearsals, productions and performances, fostering student participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts across the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Support behaviour management and uphold safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching music and drama in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and ability to inspire young learners.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo DBS checks.
Required skills
- Curriculum planning for music and drama.
- Assessment and reporting of student achievement.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
