Nurse Team Leader (Community District Nursing)

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Nurse Team Leader to join its Community District Nursing Service. Working from the Community Centre for Health, you will support the Senior Nurse Manager in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care across the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership for nursing staff, supporting the Senior Nurse Manager.
• Deliver autonomous clinical practice with advanced nursing expertise.
• Coordinate daily team activities, ensuring safe and effective care for the caseload.
• Participate in governance activities such as audit, incident review, and risk management.
• Maintain quality assurance standards for patient‑centred services.
• Support change management, practice development, and service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current 1st Level NMC registration (essential).
• Post‑registration nursing degree (essential).
• Management diploma or equivalent leadership experience (desirable).
• Experience in practice development, leading change, and managing teams (desirable).
• Driving licence (desirable, due to geographic coverage).
