Onsite Desktop Support Engineer (EUC/AV L1) – London

About the role

The Onsite Desktop Support Engineer will be the first physical touch‑point for IT support at the London site, delivering reliable end‑user computing services, Level 1 audio‑visual assistance and coordinating laptop logistics with external couriers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers and accessories.
• Perform OS installation, re‑imaging, software installation, patching and basic troubleshooting.
• Resolve incidents and service requests according to SLA using ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM tool.
• Support new‑joiner onboarding and employee exits, including device handover, returns and data sanitisation.
• Coordinate shipment and receipt of laptops and accessories with external courier partners, track consignments and maintain proof of delivery.
• Maintain accurate asset movement records and work with central IT/asset management for lifecycle compliance.
• Provide hand‑and‑feet support for network, server and facilities teams during rack/patching, device replacements and site maintenance.
• Deliver Level 1 support for meeting‑room AV systems, VC devices, projectors and digital signage, performing basic connectivity and power troubleshooting.
• Document incidents, asset movements and support activities while adhering to IT security and compliance standards.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in end‑user computing support.
• Proven ability to coordinate logistics with external courier partners.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting experience for network, server and facilities infrastructure.
• Experience supporting audio‑visual equipment in corporate environments.

Required skills

• Windows OS installation, re‑imaging and patching.
• ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platform.
• Asset management and lifecycle documentation.
• Basic audio‑visual system troubleshooting (connectivity, power, cabling).
• Network rack and patch panel work.
