Part‑time 1:1 Outreach Tutor (Maths, English, Science)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic part‑time tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children in care, pupils with special educational needs, and excluded students across Bracknell Forest and nearby areas. Sessions can be scheduled during school hours or after‑school/weekends, and will take place in homes, care homes or community settings such as libraries.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personalised instruction in Maths, English and Science across all key stages.
- Adapt teaching methods to support learners who may struggle with conventional approaches.
- Manage behaviour and SEN challenges while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Required profile
- Relevant degree in the subject area you will teach.
- Experience working with students who have SEMH, LAC or other special needs is advantageous.
- Motivated, focused on student outcomes and able to make learning engaging.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of Maths, English and Science curricula.
