About the role
Join First Step Physical Education as a casual PE & School Sport Coach delivering high‑quality physical education sessions to primary school pupils across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. You will work with partner schools, providing consistent lessons each term and supporting pupils’ progress in a range of sports.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary‑school aged pupils.
- Plan, adapt and assess schemes of work to meet pupil needs across the curriculum.
- Record and report pupil progress each term.
- Travel to multiple school sites in Hull, East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and carry out risk assessments for sessions and equipment.
- Coach on holiday camps during school holidays.
Required profile
- NGB Level 2 coaching qualification (or equivalent) and GCSE Maths and English.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a sports or school environment.
- Good knowledge of at least three PE curriculum areas (e.g., Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA).
- First Aid and Child Protection training (or willingness to undertake).
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
