Personal Tax Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join a top‑100 UK practice in Central London. The role works closely with tax partners and trusted clients, offering a blend of technical tax work and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Operate with high autonomy, reporting directly to Tax Partners.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
• Lead, review, and develop team members while ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Prepare and review complex UK Self‑Assessment returns, including worldwide income, foreign tax credits and DTAs.
• Handle HMRC enquiries, disclosures and settlements, including the Worldwide Disclosure Facility.
• Deliver tailored global mobility and UK tax planning advice (pre‑ and post‑arrival).
• Advise on evolving UK tax legislation and post‑April 2025 regime changes.
• Provide expertise in property structuring, de‑enveloping, and estate/trust planning.

Required profile

• ATT, CTA or ACA qualification (at least ATT qualified or part‑qualified CTA/ACA; fully qualified for senior levels).
• 3‑4 years’ experience in personal tax, preferably within a private‑client focused firm.
• Organised, meticulous approach to compliance and reporting, able to manage multiple clients.
• Confident communicator who can explain complex matters and build long‑term client relationships.
