Portfolio Manager – Bridging Finance & Specialist Mortgages

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our Bridging Finance & Specialist Mortgages team in London. The role involves managing a portfolio of specialist property lending cases, ensuring credit stewardship and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an existing portfolio of bridging and specialist mortgage facilities.
• Monitor loan expiries, extensions, construction milestones, interest tranches and other key lending events.
• Act as the primary servicing contact for customers, brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare credit proposals for amendments and conduct cash‑flow reviews.
• Approve drawdowns and payments within delegated authority and produce redemption statements and portfolio reporting.
• Support team initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property lending, bridging finance, development finance or specialist banking.
• Strong analytical ability to assess and present complex information.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Understanding of credit risk and portfolio management principles.
• Willingness to travel nationally for customer and site visits.

Required skills

• Experience with Phoebus, Keystone or Tableau (advantageous but not essential).
