PPA Cover Teacher – Primary School (Hemel Hempstead)

About the role

We are seeking an engaging PPA Cover Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves delivering high‑quality lessons across KS1 and KS2 during teachers' Planning, Preparation and Assessment time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons that follow the class teacher’s plan and maintain continuity of learning.
• Adapt quickly to different year groups, classes and curriculum areas.
• Provide effective feedback to pupils and support their progress.
• Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with year‑group teams and contribute to wider school activities when required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience in a primary school setting is desirable, but newly qualified teachers are welcome.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
• Strong organisational skills and confidence to teach across multiple year groups.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
