Primary Teacher (ECT) – Supply Positions in South Gloucestershire

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECT) who have recently completed their PGCE and hold QTS to join our daily supply roster across primary schools in South Gloucestershire. This role offers a flexible entry point into the teaching profession, helping you build confidence and showcase your abilities to local schools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the national curriculum to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils on a daily supply basis.
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure smooth handover between supply assignments.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or imminent qualification.
• Recent PGCE completion and enthusiasm for primary education.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new classrooms.
• Excellent role‑model qualities and a commitment to promoting positive behaviours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
• Classroom management techniques.
• Effective communication with pupils, parents and staff.
