About the role
The Principal Moderator and Content Author will safeguard the quality and consistency of the T Level Craft and Design Furniture Maker (Upholstery) qualification. Working remotely, you will ensure that internally assessed units meet the specification and assessment criteria while supporting examiners across the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor standards for internally assessed units, modules and components.
- Oversee the standardisation process for examiners, ensuring consistent application of assessment criteria.
- Read and apply all Pearson policies and guidance relevant to the role.
- Protect the confidentiality of centres and learners.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions as required.
- Meet all deadlines and deliver work to the highest professional standard.
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion in all interactions.
- Ensure personal IT equipment meets Pearson security requirements and maintain a secure email account.
- Communicate promptly with Pearson and partner centres.
- Raise any concerns about malpractice, maladministration or safeguarding.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in moderation and content development for vocational qualifications.
- Strong understanding of assessment standards and examiner support.
- Commitment to professional integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to attend virtual meetings and training sessions.
